An agricultural town with a history in mining, Glen Innes draws a lot of tourists keen on finding sapphires, or perhaps gold and silver (the Gem and Mineral Festival is in Sept), or those interested in a slice of real farming life (the Pastoral and Agricultural Festival is held in Feb).
While Glen Innes is found inside the sprawling countryside of NSW’s Northern Tablelands - making it quite a proposition to visit - in town you'll find immense pride bursting through the immaculately kept gardens.
