Festival Time on the Gold Coast > Blues on Broadbeach
Running from Thursday 29 May to Sunday 1 June and officially opening GCBazaar 2008, Blues on Broadbeach will set the scene for an exciting and dynamic month of festivities.
Since its inception in 2002, the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival has attracted more than 200,000 people, making it an event of international standing. This is now one of the nation’s iconic blues festivals, transcending the barriers of age, gender and culture and providing a musical experience like no other in Queensland. Best of all, Blues on Broadbeach is a FREE event.
The 2008 festival promises to be the first of its kind, feeding on the unique blues village-style feel and relaxed ambience of Broadbeach and offering a younger and sexier feel than any of the prior festivals.
The 2008 performer line-up has been released. The event not only nurtures Australian blues talent, but also provides a stage for international acts, so you’re sure to be entertained with high quality artists jamming their way through various Broadbeach venues.
See talents such as international artist Malina Moye, who has already had a Billboard chart hit as well as experience playing with the best in the business. Or get your groove on with some of Australia’s favourites, including headlining act, the Black Sorrows, plus other talented local outfits such as the awesome Blue Shaddy from Perth, the Bondi Cigars from Sydney and the Mojo Webb Band from Brisbane, to name but a few.
Blues music is food for the soul and this festival combines the best of blues with the cream of Gold Coast cuisine in a guaranteed recipe for success.
