Don’t be mistaken into thinking winter is the time to stay indoors. The Gold Coast simply won’t have it! Instead they have planned to host a wonderful festival that celebrates all the good things in life – food, fashion and fun. Get set for some seriously good times as the Gold Coast goes wild during the GCBazaar from 1 to 30 June.
This citywide event showcases everything from a thrilling events line-up and fantastic competitions and prizes, to shopping, dining, nightlife and accommodation specials across the entire city. And what’s even better, all of this fun is set against the backdrop of the Coast’s fantastic beaches and hinterland, and is complemented by the mild June weather – just perfect for combining festival fun with a visit to friends and relatives.
You’ll notice the city come alive during the festival with the orange theme colours adorned by the GCBazaar participants, making it easy to identify exactly where you can snap up some specials. All the participating shops, restaurants and events will display something very ‘bazaar’ and there will be street banners and VeryGC shuttle buses running people around to the festivities.

One of the festival highlights is the official opening event, the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival, which brings together the best of both international and Australian blues music talent. Other events not to miss include: the Surfers Paradise Girls' Day Out, for a unique celebrity-guided shopping experience; the Queensland Cracker Night fireworks display; the very cultural Celebrating the Finer Things in Life dinner party; and A La Carte in the Park, the Gold Coast’s premier food and wine event.
